Terms of service
How the service works, what it costs, and how refunds work. Last updated 6 October 2026.
The service
YT Transcriber fetches existing YouTube captions (human or auto-generated tracks that YouTube already has). It does not download video or audio, does not transcribe speech, and does not drive a browser against YouTube. If a video has no captions, the job fails. You are responsible for complying with YouTube’s Terms of Service and with copyright law for any material you submit or export.
Plans and free tier
- Two paid plans, same features and the same fair-use caps: $9/month or $22 per 3 months, billed by PayPal, or by Dodo Payments when UPI or card checkout is shown. We never see your card details.
- Without a subscription you can process 3 videos per day when billing is enforced. The free count resets at 00:00 UTC.
- Cancel any time from Pricing. PayPal subscribers can also cancel in PayPal. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not add extra time.
Fair use (the real limits in the code)
Paid plans are not charged per transcript. Every account is still capped:
- Up to 1000 videos per rolling day per account.
- At most 5000 jobs queued or processing at once.
- At most 12 submissions per minute.
- At most 500 URLs in one submit, and 5000 videos from one playlist or channel.
Refunds
Refunds on request within 7 days of payment, email nidhi69n@gmail.com.
Data we keep
Matches the live settings shown on Privacy: finished transcripts are deleted after 90 days; the shared caption cache after 30 days. You can export or delete your account from Settings at any time.
No warranty; liability
The service is provided as-is. Captions come from YouTube and may be incomplete, wrong, or unavailable. We are not liable for lost data, blocked YouTube access, or what you do with an export. If we are liable for anything, the amount is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
